Theory of Change and Logic Model Development
Too busy doing the actual work of your program to consider how all of your activities and goals fit together to get to the big picture social impacts you’re shooting for? Let’s talk through all of this and develop a theory of change and logic model. Once we’ve figured this out, I will develop suggested metrics that can inform a formal evaluation as well as your ongoing performance management plan. Bonus…funders love to see a well-articulated theory of change in a clean and simple logic model; you will be able to use this product in future grant applications.

The Process
The process for initiating our work together is simple: initial consultation, develop a custom approach, implement our agreed upon approach, and finally, group sensemaking of evaluation results.

Initial Consultation
We will have an initial consultation to discuss your evaluation needs and how I can meet them. If you are committed to taking a data-driven approach to reaching your social impact goals, I would be happy to work with you.

Develop Custom Approach
Based on your needs, budget, and evaluation capacity, I will develop a customized evaluation approach. I take a pragmatic, utilization-focused, and participatory approach to my evaluation work.

Implement Agreed Upon Approach
While evaluation activities are underway, I will stay in close communication with you and your team to share any initial learnings and provide technical assistance as needed. You will never have to wonder about evaluation progress or findings–I will share this with you at regular intervals. Far before the end of your evaluation, you will have a good sense of what the results will be.

Group Sensemaking of Results
Before project deliverables are finalized, we will meet for a session of groups sensemaking. This means that we will interpret evaluation results as group of program stakeholders. While I have methodological expertise, I will need your team’s program expertise to contextualize the findings. Ultimately, we will develop actionable recommendations that you can use to drive your work forward.
